Michoacana Treats is rooted in a family tradition that began over 20 years ago in Tlalpujahua, Michoacan, Mexico. Carlos, our founder, learned the art of making traditional Michoacán ice cream at a young age from his father, who had spent years perfecting his craft in the local ice cream shops of Tocumbo. Carlos started working in local homemade ice cream shops, honing his skills and perfecting the authentic flavors of his heritage. Twenty years ago, life brought him to Minnesota, where he married Ofelia and started a family. With a passion for his craft and a desire to share the rich flavors
